2. Server hosting

This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in a data centre within the EU. A data processing agreement (DPA) per Art. 28 GDPR is in place. When the site is accessed, technical server logs (anonymised IP address, user agent, time of access, requested resource, referrer) are stored for 14 days. They serve to keep the service running and to measure reach. The analysis runs exclusively on our own server; no data is passed to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Cookieless reach measurement

We analyse the server logs described in section 2 using GoAccess, which we run ourselves, to see which pages are being visited. The analysis runs on the same server in Germany and IP addresses are truncated in the process. No cookies are set, no script runs in your browser, and no data is passed to third parties. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Hotjar.

4. Configurator and enquiry capture

When you complete the configurator on the homepage and submit your enquiry, we process the data you enter (wall configuration, dimensions, schedule, name, email, phone, shopping centre) in order to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). The data are stored in a SQLite database on the Hetzner server named above. Retention period: until the purpose of the contract has been fulfilled or per statutory commercial retention periods.

5. Magic link / resume function

When you submit a configurator enquiry, we additionally create a resume link (UUID token valid for 14 days), which you receive by email and which lets you edit your configuration later or forward it to colleagues. The link expires automatically after 14 days and the associated configuration data are deleted (unless an enquiry resulted from them).

6. Contact form

Enquiries submitted via the contact form are likewise stored on our Hetzner server and delivered by email to info@mallwall.de. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.

7. Email dispatch

Outbound emails (enquiry confirmations, magic-link emails, offers) are sent via the SMTP server of our mailbox provider STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Processing takes place exclusively in data centres in Germany. A data processing agreement per Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO. Only the data required for dispatch (email address, message content) are processed.

8. Anti-spam: Cloudflare Turnstile

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam. Turnstile is a GDPR-compliant captcha alternative that sets no tracking cookies and builds no user profiles.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise these rights, contact info@mallwall.de. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — in our case: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

10. Changes to this privacy notice

We will amend this privacy notice whenever changes to our data processing or to the legal situation make this necessary. The current version published here applies in each case. Version: June 2026.
